Two fixed term TEP positions (Y2 and Y3) from September 2009 to 31 August 2011 Educational Psychology in Surrey is a County specialist service managed by a Lead Professional for Educational Psychology. EPs work in one of four EP teams managed by an Area SEP. The Service has a friendly and supportive ethos where EPs are valued and where there is a strong commitment to promote innovation, development and prevention. A high value is placed on CPD and we manage our own budgets to support CPD, equipment and resource needs. The Service is highly rated by schools and received national top quartile ratings in the most recent Audit Commission survey. We have a well established consultation model of service delivery with peer support structures to maintain this. The service is committed to the new training arrangements and we currently support two Y3 TEPs. A Senior EP oversees placements and supervision arrangements. Brief description of job including location, duties and duration
Trainee Educational Psychologist (Doctoral Training year 2 and 3)
We wish to recruit a Trainee Educational Psychologist for years 2 and 3 of the professional training doctorate in Educational Psychology commencing 1 September 2008 and finishing 31 August 2010. (All applicants must be currently enrolled in the first year of doctoral training in Educational Psychology)
We are a multi professional service, which is developing close multi agency working within the theme as well as with the health services. We have Educational Psychologists, Behaviour and Learning Support Teachers, a ‘Looked After' Virtual School, a Complex Communication Disorders Team and an Anti-bullying Team.
Whilst the posts are fixed term it is hoped that the successful applicants will progress to full time posts in the service.
