What we do

CWDC has two roles: Sector Skills Council body and workforce reform agency.

We are part of Skills for Care and Development (SfC&D), the Sector Skills Council for social care, children and young people's workforces in the UK. Our job is to address the skills needs of those in CWDC’s footprint.

As a workforce reform agency for the Children’s Workforce in England, we contribute to and coordinate the Children’s Workforce Network (CWN).
